Canadian Experience Class
The Canadian Experience Class is designed to facilitate the granting of Permanent Residents to those who are most likely to be able to adapt to life in Canada and to establish themselves economically.
If you have successfully graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution after at least two of study and have obtained at least one year of skilled work experience within the 24 months before the application date you should qualify for permanent residence under the Experience Class.
Temporary Foreign Workers may also qualify for permanent residence under the Experience Class if they have at least 2 years of skilled work experience within the 36 before the date of the application.
Both Students and Temporary Foreign Workers must have a high to moderate level of language skill depending on the skilled work experience and occupation.
Foreign Student who meet the requirements of the Experience Class and are in Canada on either a Post-Graduate Work Permit as well as Temporary Foreign Workers may apply from within Canada.
You may still qualify for Permanent Residence in Canada under the Experience Class even if you are no longer in Canada if you submit your application within one year of leaving Canada.
The Experience Class is not based on points like the Federal Skilled Worker Class but is based on a pass or fail analysis. If you meet the requirements you will be eligible for permanent residence.
