Advantages of Studying in Canada
Studying in Canada can create opportunities to get a work permit and to gain permanent residence in Canada however you must choose the right school to attend or you will jeopardize these opportunities.
If you graduate from a full-time program of study at of at least eight months at qualifying school you may apply for a post-graduate work permit which can create an opportunity for you to fast track your Permanent Residence to Canada.
If you attend an eligible institution and your program of study is more than 8 months but less than 2 years, you may get a post-graduate work permit for a period no longer than the length of time you have studied. However, if you graduate from a program that lasts two years or more at an eligible institution, you may receive a three year post-graduate work permit.
It is important to realize that becoming a permanent resident or citizen of Canada can be a complicated process. By first becoming a temporary resident (through studying or working in Canada) you can greatly increase your prospects of becoming a permanent resident.
